Get involved option 1 – Have a lesson

Book a Nordic Walking lesson with Jill. While Nordic Walking is not difficult, it is great to get off on the right foot (pun intended) with some good technique if you can. This will help your body get the most benefits out of Nordic Walking.

Lessons can be one-on-one or you can book to come with a friend. If you don’t have your own poles, let Jill know and she will bring some for you for the lesson. The lesson goes for about one hour and you’ll learn enough in that time to go out Nordic Walking on your own.

Jill’s approach to teaching is warm and patient. And because she loves Nordic Walking so much herself it’s hard not to catch some of her enthusiasm.

Lesson cost: $50 per person.
There is no extra charge for pole hire for lessons.

Option 2 – Join Jill’s guided Nordic Walking group

Just Sticking Around Nordic Walking group meets twice a week. The group sessions are open to people who have had a lesson.

The group walks are fun. Each walk goes for an hour. Jill leads the walks and each week focuses on a different aspect of Nordic walking.

Monday Group:

  • Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens
  • 5pm start

Thursday Group:

  • Elsternwick Park
  • 9.30am start

Guided group walk cost: $10 per session

Pole hire (if you don’t have your own): $5

Jill understands that people have busy and sometimes unpredictable lives. So by joining one of the groups you don’t have to commit to being there every week – and you don’t have to pay by the term. Just be there when you can and pay as you go.
